How Wunderli works
Wunderli turns your child into a co-author of their own audio story. A few taps, then the screen stays off. No third-party ads, no strangers' voices in the bedroom. In a few minutes you get a personal audio adventure that matches your child's age, mood and time of day.
The 6 steps in the story wizard
The flow is intentionally short so that even a four-year-old can walk through it. Every step shows pictures instead of text, so reading is not required.
Your child, a friend, an animal or a fantasy figure. The name is free text, up to 30 characters.
Forest, space, underwater, castle or home. The place shapes the whole scene.
Friendship, courage, curiosity, magic. Picked from a fixed catalogue, never typed in.
10+, 15+ or 20+ minutes. Tuned to your evening routine.

Why six steps, not three
A fixed menu would be quicker. Wunderli asks for five real decisions instead, because that is the difference between watching and taking part: afterwards the story belongs to the child, not to the app. That is the reason for the design. It is not a claim about measurable effects, and we do not make one.
What happens between clicks
Wunderli writes and narrates the story automatically: the text and the voices are generated by software, not written and recorded by authors and voice actors for each individual story. That is exactly why every child can have their own. What your child can choose from comes out of a fixed catalogue we curate in advance, and every finished story passes an automated check for inappropriate content.
After the final step Wunderli writes the story, narrates it and stores it locally. That usually takes around half a minute. Kids never see a login screen: the account belongs to an adult, and sharing, reporting and account actions sit behind a parental gate. Read more on the Child safety page.

Language, length and age
The three language levels bridge the gap from first short sentences to more complex storytelling. Simple with 10 minutes works well for ages 4 to 6. Ages 7 to 9 usually enjoy Normal at 15 minutes. From 10 onward, Advanced with 20 minutes fits nicely.
